Term 3 – Grade 5/6 Community Engagement
During Term 3 the grade 5 and 6 students get out and about in the Warrnambool Community. Grade 6 students will participate weekly at Lyndoch Living and in 2018 this will happen on Thursday mornings. Our first session will be Week 2 and all the Grade 6 will attend, following weeks will have 4 students transported by parents to and from Lyndoch. Can any parents willing to assist with transportation please speak to Mr Logan. Each year Grade 6 students appreciate this opportunity and the rewarding time spent with the Lyndoch clients, and Lyndoch love Woodford visiting.
Grade 5 students participate with the Meals on Wheels program each week, on alternating Fridays and Mondays. The first session will be Week 1 on Friday next term, and continue for 10 weeks. Students are transported by Mel and Bernie each time, who assist students to deliver the hot meals.
Term 3 Grade 5/6 Camp
Grade 5/6 camp will be to Sovereign Hill on from Mon 10th to Wed 12th of September. Please lock these dates into your calendar. The majority of our classroom work will revolve around Sovereign Hill and Gold Rush history, so it is important that all students can attend, to make connections with our learning. Notes, information and final pricing will be sent home during Week 1 of next term.
